Joel Shrum

Founder/Creator/Storyteller

     My journey into documentary filmmaking is shaped by a unique background that blends military service and a deep passion for storytelling. I served in the United States Military, where God taught me invaluable lessons in organization, professionalism, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of truth. It was during this time that I learned the importance of seeking out and sharing the truth with others.

     After my service, God began to redirect my life, not to serve an earthly master, but to serve Him. This transition led me to pursue film classes in college, where I developed the technical skills needed for documentary work.

     Today, I live in Greenville, SC, with my beautiful wife, and we’re excited to welcome our baby on the way. While I’ve been a Christian my whole life, it wasn’t until two years ago that my eyes were truly opened to the staggering number of people who’ve never heard the Gospel. That realization has ignited a deep desire in me to use my skillsets, giftings, and all that I am to reach the lost through the power of the Holy Spirit.

     The Lord has been steadily equipping me—mentally, physically, and spiritually—for the work of visual storytelling through documentary and film. I wish to use what God has entrusted me with and to use it to bring others to Christ, sharing His love and truth with the world.

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

I believe that through this work, I am called to be a witness to the Lord wherever He leads.
